On September 11, the official segment of the “Yerevan Dialogue” continued with the “AI: A Boom for Emerging Markets?” panel discussion with the participation of the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and other high-ranking officials from and experts from Armenia, the UN, US, UAE, India.
The panel explored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in driving economic growth and innovation in emerging markets, particularly in sectors like education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan emphasized Armenia’s engagement in AI development, highlighting recent advancements and government initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and tech entrepreneurship.
Experts from the UN and participating nations shared insights on leveraging AI for sustainable development and addressing challenges such as regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and digital infrastructure. The discussion underscored the importance of international collaboration and the role of public-private partnerships in accelerating AI adoption across emerging markets.
The session concluded with a Q&A, where panelists responded to questions about the practical implementation of AI technologies and future opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and other countries represented at the conference.
