On September 10, “Yerevan Dialogue” international forum hosted a panel discussion titled “The Future of Work: Paycheck, Protections, and Purpose” with the participation of the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan. The panelists, high-ranking officials and distinguished experts discussed the rapid expansion of technological innovations that are reshaping the nature of employment.
As we are witnessing a rise in non-traditional work arrangements, these intertwined shifts are fundamentally altering the essence of economic stability and exacerbating existing inequities. Work is now characterised by fragmentation, insecurity, and transient relationships between employers and employees.
Amidst these fundamental challenges, the panelists discussed the way to ensure income security and safeguard social protections.
